About half an hour ago, a man in brown delivered my new (additional) camera, a Nikon D700. I’ve been renting and borrowing when I shoot weddings so I always have had backup, but it was time. I rented the D700 for Joanna’s wedding and that confirmed that I was ready to purchase. The following were all shot at 24mm at 2.8 with my 24-70.

My friend Randi’s wedding invitations–with really cute fabric on the back!

I promise I didn’t style this picture. All these things were on the kitchen table in these very places.

This is a board by the kitchen table where my aunt puts little messages all the time and then later we switch the letters around to make dumb messages or inside jokes. This is an homage to our recent Trixie Belden craze.

My pillows on my bed. I think my aunt made the bottom pillow-case.

I think these shoes have made an appearance before.

The last few weeks we (my aunt and cousin and I) have had occasional “art sessions” here we get out our medium of choice and draw/paint. These were done with pen and ink and water-color pencils.

AH! BWG Forever and ever! My mom taught me how to bobwhite whistle. It’s like a quails, but of course, Mart told us the bobwhite is a kind of quail in the third or so book.
